Ward 4 Aldermen Support Brian Yates
As a champion of historic preservation, Brian supported CPA funding to preserve our historic burying grounds and our Civil War Soldier’s Monument. He worked with neighborhoods to help create our local historic districts and assisted in obtaining City Landmark status for St. Bernard’s Church in West Newton.
Having served with Brian for many years, we know that you can ALWAYS count on Brian Yates to put interests of residents and the neighborhoods first. He fought to keep MBTA service in Upper Falls and Newton Highlands. Recognizing the importance of bringing people together, he opposed the closing of the branch libraries and worked with the Administration to enable the establishment of community libraries in Waban and in Auburndale. Most recently, Brian worked with residents successfully challenging the issuance of building permits on undersized lots, and he was a very strong advocate for Auburndale and Lower Falls residents by supporting our efforts to obtain as much mitigation as possible for the neighborhood related to the Riverside project.
We have been proud to serve with Brian over the years and welcome the opportunity to continue to work with him to serve the citizens of Newton.
Please join us and vote for Brian Yates for Ward 5 Alderman-at-Large.
