The Friends of Hemlock Gorge’s Annual Fall Cleanup will be on Saturday October 26, 9 to Noon. We hope to have more then two dozen volunteers, including many from the Upper Falls Tsu Chi Buddhist Temple. Materials and tools will be supplied for all volunteers. Refreshments will again be generously provided after the clean up by Seana Gaherin.
Volunteers should meet at Hamilton Place between 9:00 and 10 a.m. Brian will be there to distribute spruce-up materials including trash bags, gloves, and T shirts.
Parking is available at Hamilton Place, the Mills Falls parking lot, and at the Hemlock Gorge parking lot at the intersection of Ellis St. and Route 9. Please dress appropriately for the work and weather (rain or shine). Long trousers and long sleeve shirts are strongly encouraged.
Lunch will be provided for all volunteers! Let us know early by replying to this email if you will join us for lunch and if you are vegetarian!
Finally, Friends President Brian Yates, who is running for re-election as Newton Alderman-at-Large from Ward 5, will be available to answer any of your questions.
